For the 9th year, City and County Firefighters join forces for the Make-A-Wish® Foundation in this annual event that raises funds to grant wishes for children in Kern County battling critical illnesses. Additional donation locations will be at the following intersections: At Olive and Knudsen Drives, firefighters from the Bakersfield Fire Department At Stockdale Hwy & Gosford Road, firefighters from the Kern County Fire Department Both fire departments have been key partners in the event since its inception in 2010, Since then, the event has raised over $525,000 for Make-A-Wish. Every dollar raised has gone directly to granting wishes to critically-ill children in Kern County.
