Married at First Sight Australia star Lucinda Light has opened up about her thoughts on the show's future after the current season was marred by leaks.
Lucinda, who appeared on the eleventh series, was paired with Timothy Smith but their relationship ultimately didn't work out.
The twelfth season, currently airing in the UK, has introduced a twist where original couple Eliot and Lauren were allowed to re-enter the experiment with new partners after their initial marriage didn't last.
Discussing the format, Lucinda said: "I mean they did it twice over this year."
She continued: "I think to keep the franchise fresh they're always trying to do new things or create twists. They are at the end of the day trying to make good television.", reports the Mirror.

However, she expressed disappointment that the numerous spoilers this season had ruined the surprise element, stating: "Unfortunately this current year has had so many spoilers so nothing has been a surprise, which is a shame."
Lucinda suggested that airing the Australian series in the UK simultaneously could potentially prevent future spoilers from emerging.
The marriage celebrant spilled the beans on reality TV tactics, saying: "They'd be almost smart to play them at the same time.

"People are nosy and it's all out there on social media so unless you've got really strong will power I think people jump on the socials and know what it's all about before it plays out."
When chatting about the future of MAFS Australia, which first premiered in 2015, she confidently asserted, "I think people have an insatiable desire and appetite for MAFS and it seems to be a concept which has so many variables.
"Every year it surprises us and every year you got to expect the unexpected."

She went on to suggest that despite repetitive themes, the show stays fresh, elaborating with, "Every season is so entirely different because of the different characters but who knows we'll have to wait and see."
Post-show life has been exciting for Lucinda who has penned her book Shine Your Light and she's set to co-host E4's The Honesty Box alongside Vicky Pattison later in the upcoming year.
Married at First Sight Australia airs Monday to Thursday on E4 at 7.30pm
