Israeli airline Arkia slashes prices for March travel

Company cuts ticket costs by $100 for flights and vacation packages for destinations like Athens, Larnaca and Barcelona starting at $69

Israeli airline Arkia announced a special promotion Tuesday, offering a $100 discount on all flights and vacation packages in March for bookings made by Sunday.
For example, a round-trip ticket to Athens from March 22-26 costs just $80. A flight to Larnaca is $69 and a round-trip ticket to Paphos is $76 under the deal.

Other discounted fares include Barcelona (March 20-24) for $280, Madrid (March 21-26) for $330, Rome for $179 and Prague for $229.
Vacation package deals include a four-night stay in a four-star hotel in Batumi (March 15-19) with breakfast for about $245 per person in a double room and a three-night stay in a four-star hotel in Athens (March 22-25) with breakfast for about $200 per person in a double room.

Prices do not include baggage. A carry-on (trolley) costs an additional $15 per flight when booked in advance, while a checked suitcase (up to 50 lbs) costs $40 per flight.
