Sharing the love! Sailor Brinkley Cook, 19, introduces the newest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie in a fun behind-the-scenes video from their sexy Aruba photoshoot

  • On Monday, Sailor appeared in a Facebook Live video with SI Swim editor MJ Day to announce the newest rookie who will appear in the 2018 issue
  • They revealed the lucky lady as model Raven Lyn, 24, who has previously done campaigns with big-name brands like Nike, G-Star RAW, and Gap
  • She is the sixth rookie named for 2018, following in the footsteps of Sailor, and other models like Alexis Ren and Chase Carter
  • Over the weekend, Sailor posed for her own rookie shoot, just a month after her mom Christie Brinkley helped surprise her with the news

With four months to go until the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hits stands, the editors are moving right along, holding one stunning bikini photoshoot after another.

Just a day after Christie Brinkley's 19-year-old daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook posed for her first shoot as an SI rookie — making her the first ever second-generation SI Swimsuit model — the teen helped announce the next rookie in the line-up for 2018.

Starring in a Facebook Live video alongside editor MJ Day, Sailor revealed that model Raven Lyn, 24, is the newest stunning swimsuit star who will be joining her in this year's rookie class.

'Hello from Aruba!' Sailor and MJ said together in the video. 'We are here to introduce the newest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018 rookie and it is... Raven!'

They part to show Raven sitting and posing on table set up on the beach behind them. She says on camera that it feels 'extravagant' to be joining the team and gets right to work shooting.

She spends nearly eight minutes posing on the table in a gold bikini, the water glistening behind her.

Raven's not yet quite as well known as her fellow announced rookie, though she has a few big-name gigs under her belt.

She's modeled for Gap, Nike, G-Star RAW, Levi's, Sephora, and Garnier, appeared in the Snakehips music video with Zayn Malik, and recently filmed a new ad for Puma XO with The Weeknd.

From Minneapolis, Minnesota, the exotic beauty — she's African American, Puerto Rican, Irish, and Native American — embraced the beach for her first SI shoot in a white thong one-piece, too — one that showed a whole lot of side-boob.

She was back on the beach again this morning, posing in yet another gold bikini — this one with lots of beading — and a stringy light-gold number trimmed with pearls that was paired with a tiny white bolero.

She also tried on a crochet number with pearls and ditched the swimwear altogether to model an underboob-bearing crop top.

Neither model said whether Sailor shared any tips for Raven, after the younger model spent the whole weekend posing for the magazine.

After officially being named as a rookie for the 2018 issue last month, she's was eager to show off her stuff in Aruba over the past few days.

Though Sailor appeared in the pages for the first time last year in a fun family shoot, this is her first time appearing as an official SI Swimsuit rookie.

She spent the weekend in Aruba posing in a parade of bathing suits, first trying several on inside in a dressing room.

Outside in a printed string bikini on her first day of shooting, the teen couldn't contain her excitement.

'I am about to do my first official shot as an SI rookie and I'm so excited!' she says in a video on the magazine's Instagram page. 'We're on Flamingo Beach and it couldn't be a more perfect morning. I'm so excited.'

Later, she changed into a mismatched two-piece with high-legged bottoms and a sparkly, long-sleeve top, before posing like a pro and flipping her hair.

She also modeled a sequin-covered two piece for the camera, which she had some fun playing with: In a clip, she rubs her hands over her body to make the two-tone sequins flip from gold to silver and back again, calling it 'satisfying'.

In yet another video, the burgeoning model shows off the scene of one of her shots. She and the crew are inside a cave and trying to get photos of Sailor standing in a small sliver of light coming in from the top.

Her blonde hair is tousled around her shoulders, and thought she complains that it's incredibly hot out, her makeup seems firmly in place.

Of course, she has more lights flashed on her for the shot, and in another video stands with hr backside facing the camera before flipping her head around for a smiling photo.

'It's like she was born for this!' editor MJ Day wrote on her Instagram page, shortly after sharing the perfect 'first shot' of the day.

In other images, Sailor is the spitting image of her mom, from her gorgeous blonde hair to her big, easy smile.

The shoot seems to have been a mega success, as Sailor posted one last snap on Instagram on Sunday night to thank everyone involved.

'I'm so so so grateful to be officially a part of the SI family!!! I love you beyond words, MJ,' she wrote. 'THANK YOU SO MUCH'

Sailor seemed thrilled to share the news of her upcoming Swimsuit Issue feature late last month and took to Instagram to post a string of behind-the-scenes modeling shots.

Her mom was on hand to break the news to Sailor herself, who seemed giddy in a video uploaded in September.

'I can't even believe this is real,' she said, adding that she thought she had been called in by SI to do an interview about her relationship with her mom.

'You're on your own now,' Christie told her. 'You're out of my sandy footprints, and you are on your own!'

Last year, Sailor had posed with Christie — and her half sister, Alexa Ray Joel — for an SI Swim photoshoot.

Sailor's mom Christie appeared in the magazine eight times between 1975 and 2004. She first nabbed the cover in 1979, and went on to land the coveted spot again for the next two years. She was the first model to ever grace the cover consecutively.

When she returned to the magazine in 2017 with her daughters, she looked ageless alongside them in Turks and Caicos.

The 5'9" model looked stunning as she posed between her daughters, wearing a mesh one-piece that showed off her fit stomach and legs. Although Christie called it a 'full-circle' experience, she told People she had to think twice about getting down to her bathing suit again.

'When this issue comes out, I'll be 63. I thought, "Those days are over." But to get to do it with my girls, I thought, "One last go!"' she said.

In the same interview, Sailor said posing along her mom was 'very empowering and liberating.'

SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day, meanwhile, said she thinks Sailor is already a pro — which is why it should be no surprised she was asked back this year.

'Sailor translates so well off the printed page — she takes beautiful pictures but that's only one of the countless things she's good at,' she said. 'Much like her mom, she embodies everything it means to be an SI Swimsuit model, but she's doing it in a way that is very much her own.'
